Procrastination
A study shows that 15 to 20% of adults put things off to the last minute. Experts estimate that 40 percent of people have experienced a financial loss because of procrastination, in some cases severe. In 2002 Americans overpaid $473 million in taxes as a result of rushing and consequent errors. And Americans’ dearth of retirement savings can be attributed, in part, to people putting off putting away cash. Procrastination is a learned trait, and it can be learned very easily, but knowing why people procrastinate will eventually lead to finding a way to teach people not to procrastinate. Procrastination for students could be from the task becoming to hard, or not thinking its important. It then becomes a habit and a bigger thing to overcome. I agree that this article has very good points. The reason why some kids are sometimes lazy is that they think of the task as too hard or maybe they don't understand the task given at hand. Teachers should be more guiding to students, but adults that face this problem should find a way to overcome it. They aren't children anymore.
